Dia 4: El Museo Reina Sofia & Viaje a Pontevedra

Hoy yo vi las pinturas en el Museo de La Reina Sofía, fui a Pontevedra y conocí a mi familia de España. Primero, yo escribí en mi diario a primer hora del dia. Por eso yo me dormí hasta muy tarde también el reloj de Scott no trabajo. A las 7h00 me levanté para comer el desayuno y me preparé para el día. Después yo me duché, me puse mi ropa, y comí. Con el grupo yo me bajé al vestíbulo con mi mochilla y maleta para poner todas las maletas en un armario del hotel.

Today I saw painting in the Reina Sofia Museum, I went to Pontevedra, and meet my Spanish host family. First, I wrote my diary in the early morning. That's why slept in late also Scott alarm did not work. At 7am I woke up for breakfast and got ready. Then I took a shower, got dressed, and ate. Along with the rest of the group I went to the lobby with my book bag and my suitcase to store them in the hotel closet.

Luego nosotros tomamos dos metros al Mueso de La Rina Sofia. Nosotors caminamos al museo. Yo entré en el museo y vi las obras de arte de la Guerra Civil española. El cuadro más conmovedor es Guernica de Pablo Picasso. El cuadro es uno de los cuadros más conmovedores que yo vi porque las figuras son fantasgoricas. Todas las imagenes son en los colores gris y negro y todas las figuras estan sufriendo. Maestra nos dijo que Picasso quería captar el dolor y sufrimiento de la población ciudadnos civiles que fueron las victimas del bombardeo. Picasso logra su meta con facilidad. Cuando yo acabé de ver el cuadro Guernica, yo fui a ver las obras de arte de Dali. Pero no pude porque todas sus obras estaban en una exhibición especial. En los Estados Unidos las personas no habland de la Guerra Civil de Espna, asi que el museo fue un buen momento para aprender de este periodo histórico.

Later on we took two metros to get to the Reina Sofia Museum. We also walked part of the way. I entered the museum and saw works of art from the Spanish Civil War. The most moving was Guernica by Pablo Picasso. The painting is one of the most moving that I saw because of it's ghostly figures that are suffering. Maestra told us that Picasso wanted to capture the pain and suffering of the civilian population that were the victims of the bombing. Picasso easily achieves his goal. When I finished seeing Guernica, I went to see works by Dali. However, I was not able to because they were part of a special exhibit. In the USA we do not talk about the Spanish Civil was, so this was a good opportunity to learn about this historical period.

Al salir del museo fuimos al restaurante en el metro. En el restaurante yo comi mucha comida: fruta fresca, pollo cordon bleu, un refresco, y un postre. CHOCOLATISIMO!!!!. Comí mucha comida. Teniamos mucha prisa por eso corri con el grupo al hotel para coger nuestras maletas y despues fuimos al aeropuerto. Alli yo compre una botella de agua y me fui a dormir. Yo me desperte para abordar el avion. Yo me sente al lado de Maestra y nostoros hablamos de la historia y mi diario.

When we left the museum we went to a restaurant in the metro. In the restaurant, I ate a lot of food: fresh fruit, chicken cordon bleu, a drink, and dessert. CHOCOLATISIMO!!! I ate a lot of food. We were in a hurry so Iran along with the group to the hotel to get our suitcases and then went to the airport. There I bought a bottle of water and fell asleep while waiting for the flight to the depart. I woke up to board the plane. I sat next to Maestra and we talked about history and my diary.



Al llegar el vuelo a Vigo, yo conocí mi familia de España. Yo no comprendi sus palabras, pero ellos eran muy graciosos y yo pase un buen rato. Entonces, yo llegue a apartamento de la familia y nosotros comimos la pizza con queso y jamón para la cena.

When we arrived in Vigo, I met my Spanish host family. I did not understand what they said at first, but they were very funny and I had a good time. I arrived in my host families apartment and we ate pizza topped with cheese and ham for dinner.
